Why choose Contact Lenses?
Contact lenses sit directly on the eye, offering several advantages over traditional glasses. They provide better peripheral vision by moving with your eye and correct a larger proportion of your visual field because they are closer to the eye than a spectacle lens. This means no frames obstructing your view, no glare, and a more natural appearance. They are also incredibly convenient for sports, travel, and an active lifestyle.
Types of Contact Lenses we offer
Not all contact lenses are the same. The right type for you depends on your prescription, eye health, and daily routine. Our team will help you navigate these options:
- Soft Contact Lenses: These are the most common type and are made of flexible, water-holding plastics that allow oxygen to pass through to your cornea. They are often recommended for beginners due to their immediate comfort.
- Daily Disposables: You wear a fresh pair for a single day and discard them at night. They are the most hygienic and convenient option, requiring no cleaning or storage.
- Frequent Replacement Lenses: Designed to be replaced every two weeks (bi-weekly) or monthly. These require daily cleaning and proper storage in a lens case.
- Toric Contact Lenses: For those with astigmatism, standard soft lenses may not provide clear vision. Toric lenses have different curvatures molded onto the front to correct the irregular shape of your cornea.
- Multifocal Contact Lenses: If you need help with both near and distance vision (presbyopia), multifocal lenses offer a seamless solution. Another approach is monovision, where one eye is corrected for distance and the other for near.
- Rigid Gas-Permeable (RGP) Lenses: These are more durable than soft lenses and can provide exceptionally sharp vision, particularly for significant astigmatism or irregular corneas (like keratoconus). They require an adaptation period of a few days.
We stock a large of varieties of contact lenses, which are suitable for daily wear as well as occasional wear. As an independent we are able to offer a wide range of top brands, including ACUVUE®, DAILIES®, Bausch + Lomb, and Air Optix.
We also have a large variety of eyedrops, eyelid wipes, contact lens cases and solutions in store.
